A Leading Asset Manager engaged Citisoft to assess and design a solution to address the firm's outdated technology, highly manual operational processes, and strained support staff. Citisoft executed a high-level review of the firm’s Middle and Back-Office investment operations, focusing on people, process and technology, and delivering a detailed options analysis along with recommendations. In a parallel path, Citisoft also executed an Outsourcing Suitability Assessment to evaluate the organization's alignment for middle office outsourcing. Lastly, Citisoft performed an assessment of front office and client service processes with a goal of optimizing these processes, where possible.
A leading Investment Adviser engaged Citisoft to conduct a strategic assessment of their operating model. The goal was to transform and re-align operations to support the growth of Institutional, High-Net Worth and Retail opportunities globally and to establish an operating platform which mitigates risk, improves service, provides scalability and flexibility, and support region growth. Citisoft created a strategic roadmap that outlined recommended changes to the firm's people, process, and technology.
Citisoft was engaged by a Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund to perform a current state assessment of the collateral department, identify areas of risk, and recommend tactical and strategic improvements to the current environment which would minimize counterparty credit risk, operational risk and reduce operational demands. Citisoft identified areas for improvement and synthesized recommendations into tactical projects which would have a quick time to market with few resources. Subsequent to the evaluation and based on Citisoft’s recommendations, a tactical initiative was launched to place controls and enhance processing around our client’s existing processes and technology. Citisoft was retained to assist the client with the execution of the tactical initiatives including project management and implementation.
A Fortune 100 Company's Investment Management division engaged Citisoft to review it’s operations and applications to identify opportunities for process or technology improvement, with a specific focus on the delivery of reliable and timely performance calculations. The Citisoft team employed their deep knowledge of investment management processes and technology to perform a current state analysis of the firm’s operating platform. Specifically, the team reviewed the organization's use of Thomson’s PORTIA portfolio accounting engine and Eagle’s PACE data warehouse and performance measurement tools. Ultimately, Citisoft delivered a current state analysis and executive presentation that included recommendations for process changes to support a more efficient performance reporting process.
A leading Global Bank engaged Citisoft to manage a broad rationalization program within its Investment Management division. Citisoft led a cross-functional team in successfully converting more than 1400+ institutional accounts, mutual funds, and separately managed accounts from six disparate platforms onto a single portfolio administration system. This effort included a multi-phased, multi-site program that was delivered on time and under budget.
A leading Investment Advisor engaged Citisoft to manage their PORTIA Re-Platform project, part of the Advisor's Strategic Transformation Plan with the long-term goal of establishing an operating platform which mitigates risk, improves service, and provides scale and flexibility for new products, security-types, channels and regions. The Citisoft team documented and analyzing the current state environment, captured business requirements, and defined an optimal approach for implementation.
Citisoft was engaged by a leading Investment Manager to facilitate the evaluation and selection of a new portfolio accounting system. Citisoft assisted the manager with identifying a short-list of potential vendors to include in the RFP process, developed and issued the RFP, scored and evaluated the vendor responses, coordinated workshops and conducted reference calls for each vendor and presented the overall findings and cost analysis to the team. Citisoft was then retained to lead the implementation effort of the Simcorp portfolio accounting system.
A premier global Asset Manager engaged Citisoft to assist with the implementation of SimCorp’s Dimension fund accounting system after an initial unsuccessful attempt at a conversion. Citisoft actively engaged in the review, analysis, and documentation of the firm’s current fund accounting environment in order to set a baseline for further program validation and requirements gathering. Citisoft’s current state documentation was then evolved to support the design of the firm’s target fund accounting model and the application of that model within the Dimension platform (i.e., system configuration, data definition, reporting, etc.).
A leading Global Asset Manager engaged Citisoft to manage their multi-region PORTIA Consolidation Project. The consolidation initiative was a result of the firm's acquisition of a major asset management firm and manage all equity assets on a single, global accounting platform.
