Citisoft, a global investment management consulting firm, has announced the second scholar added to their Citisoft Scholars Program in partnership with Youth Guidance.
Citisoft is excited to name Garvince Jean Francois as a Citisoft Scholar and recipient of a four-year scholarship to Bridgewater State University.
The Citisoft Scholars Program works toward the mission of helping empower students in underserved communities through education, financial literacy, and community engagement. In 2022, Citisoft launched the four-year scholarship program in partnership with Youth Guidance Boston, part of the national nonprofit Youth Guidance organization. Its core programs, Becoming a Man and Working on Womanhood, are highly engaging school-based counseling and mentoring programs that promote social-emotional and psychological well-being, strong school engagement, and increased academic attainment for students in grades 7-12.
"We're extremely excited to support our scholars' academic trajectories and provide them mentorship in achieving their goals,‚ said Derek Pratt, Chairman of Citisoft's CSR Committee. "We are so appreciative to Youth Guidance for their continued partnership and the outstanding work they do supporting students like Garvince both in school and out."
Garvince joins the program's first scholar, Evan Lewis, who successfully completed his first year at Lasell University this spring. Citisoft and Youth Guidance look forward to supporting one additional recipient each academic year. Details on application for next year will be made available by Youth Guidance in 2024.
