Citisoft's Steve Young was recently quoted in Funds Europe on the future of robo-advisers. While the concept has been popular with US firms, he's seeing less traction with this fintech trend in Europe and the UK, but he foresees this discrepancy evening out in the next few years.
“Some of this is due to regulation, which makes it harder to develop here, but there is also a cultural element where everyone in the US has been focused on their 401k plans for years," Steve says. "I think this will change with the next generation in the UK with the rise of defined contributions and millennials.”
