The State of Wisconsin Investment Board recently announced the completion of their four-year technology and operations transformation program, supported by Citisoft. The program was part of SWIB's initiative to delivering a state-of-the-art, integrated platform comprised of cutting-edge tech, services, and streamlined processes to provide accessible, quality, and timely data. SWIB's Executive Director Michael Williamson and Citisoft's David Bates discussed the transformation in FundFire.
Bates commented on the evolution of SWIB's systems and data. "SWIB, because of the internalization of its asset management function, looks like a very complicated multi-asset manager in its capabilities. It does look more like a traditional asset manager than many public-sector pension agencies do, because it requires the capability of that sort of model."
